Welcome to the Canisianum student residence
Have you always wanted to live in an impressive, history-steeped building?
You have the opportunity to do so at the Canisianum, as the former seminary in a neo-Romanesque style has been run as a student residence since October 2013. Besides cosy bedrooms and many communal rooms, the magnificent entrance to the building, in particular, speaks for itself! Located in the heart of Innsbruck, you are also just a few minutes’ walk from most universities and many lovely little places.
The house was completely renovated in 2021/22. Since October 2022, students have been able to live and study in the student residence Canisianum.
Rooms & Prices
Single rooms are available at the Canisianum, equipped with bathroom and many with their own kitchenette. The residential units are fully furnished and particularly boast large windows and remarkable ceiling heights. Communal kitchens with dining areas and recreation rooms with TVs are available on every floor. Internet connections can be found in every room.
The building also has a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers, which can be used by the residents for a small charge.
Location
Canisianum lies right in the heart of Innsbruck. Universities, universities of applied sciences and various bars in the centre can be reached on foot in around 10 minutes. Local businesses are available in the immediate vicinity. Sporty types can really work off some energy by jogging or cycling along the Inn promenade. The beautiful Hofgarten is ideal for relaxing afterwards. A good connection to public transport with bus stops is right in front of the building. Further bus stops and the Hungerburg railway, with which you can travel up the Hungerburg, are around 6 minutes away. Other skiing and hiking regions are also easy to reach.

Cooking, learning or relaxing in front of the TV with friends. Shared activities are an important part of life in a student residence. There is plenty of space for this in each floor’s kitchen with a cosy seating area (ten in total) as well as in many different rooms:

- Table tennis, table football and billiard room
There is sufficient parking available for bicycles. Car parking on property is available for a fee.

Barrier-free rooms are available in the residence.
