The Münze (‘Mint’) student residence is a former monastery that was converted into a luxurious student residence a few years ago. The combination of a beautiful, old building and modern elements creates a very special living atmosphere.
The student residence lies in the centre of Graz, right next to Graz University of Technology, and offers space for 167 students.
Rooms & Prices
The student residence has rooms in various categories:
- Single-room shared apartments (two or three single rooms sharing a bathroom and a kitchenette)
- Twin-room apartments with a private bathroom and kitchenette.
The bright, friendly rooms in the student residence are fully furnished, feature modern equipment and measure around 10 to 24 m². Every room naturally has Internet and TV connections.
The building also has a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers, which can be used by the residents for a small charge.
Location
The location of the student residence is perfect: right in the centre of Graz, surrounded by lovely cafés and little places, and just a short distance from the universities. Graz University of Technology is just a 5-minute walk away. Right in front of the student residence is the stop for tram lines 6 and 26 as well as bus routes 36, 63A and 99. This allows you to reach the other universities quickly. A tip for sports fans: there is a tennis court and football pitch near the Münze!

Besides the location, the activities on offer inside the student residence are naturally also important. A general refurbishment led to the creation of many modern communal rooms, which invite you to celebrate, cook, chat or exercise together:

There is sufficient safe parking for bicycles. Anyone with their own car can rent a parking space in the residence’s own car park.
