A dream for fans of the Mozart city: the Schwarzes Rössl student residence lies in the heart of the historic centre of Salzburg, surrounded by an ‘old town’ that is so beautiful it was even designated a World Heritage Site. The residence underwent a general refurbishment in 2007/2008, although it was possible to retain the original charm of the old building.
For instance, the furniture typically found in Salzburg in some of the rooms was restored and now continues to be used with renewed splendour. In Priesterhausgasse, 95 students live in beautiful single and twin bedrooms.
The Schwarzes Rössl is operated as student residence from October 01 to June 30 and as hotel during the summer months.

Rooms & Prices
The rooms in Priesterhausgasse are lovingly furnished and measure 10 to 33 m². All twin rooms are equipped with their own shower and WC. Some of the single rooms have a shower and WC in the room, some just have a sink and the bathroom is shared with up to 4 other rooms in a shared apartment. To cook, residents come together in one of the two communal kitchens; a private refrigerator is available in every room.
There is also a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers, which can be used by all the residents for a small charge. All rooms are naturally also equipped with Internet and a TV connection.

Leisure Activities
The entrance area with a typical Salzburg design featuring cosy seating areas is a particular eyecatcher at the Schwarzes Rössl.
The residents spend one or two long evenings here. There is also a large communal room for chatting, playing or watching TV as well as a spacious communal kitchen for cooking evenings together. The party room is perfect for bigger parties and celebrations. And, of course, a music room shouldn’t be missing in the Mozart city!
There is sufficient parking available for bicycles.
